Hi, I’m Anna đź‘‹

A web developer with a love for clean code, clever design, and making things that just work beautifully.

My background is a bit of a patchwork; from HR and operations to technical support and now, the new love of my life: web development. This is all  part of what makes me a strong, well-rounded contributor. I approach challenges with curiosity, communicate clearly and thrive when solving problems in creative ways.

Whether I’m teaming up with designers, solving unexpected quirks, or fine-tuning the details in CSS, I aim to create seamless experiences that look great and feel effortless on any device.

I’m always refining my process and exploring new approaches. Whether it’s rethinking a layout, streamlining a workflow, or finding a cleaner way to write the same line of code. I’m all about working smarter and creating with intention. As someone who’s neurodivergent, I naturally approach problems a little differently and that often means spotting angles others might miss.

Outside of tech, I run a small weaving side hustle, which lets me balance logic with creativity, pixels with pattern. It’s a reminder that building, whether on a screen or a loom, is all about intention, texture and flow.

I’m currently open to new opportunities, collaborations, or just connecting with like-minded folks. So if you’re working on something exciting (or want to talk code, creativity, or colour palettes), let’s chat.

This website is my digital home. A place where I can share my evolving portfolio and skills. Designed with intention and simplicity, it’s not just a collection of projects, but a reflection of my journey as a web developer. From the first line of code to where I am now, this site marks my progress and provides a space for me to continue growing.

Sleek animations and smooth interactions that make the website not just functional, but enjoyable to navigate.

Clean, modern UI with a focus on intuitive navigation and user-friendly features.

Why It Matters
This website is a reflection of my journey as a developer, combining technical skill with intentional design to create a smooth, engaging experience. It’s more than a portfolio—it’s a living, evolving project that grows alongside me. As I take on new challenges and expand my skills, this site will continue to evolve, telling the story of where I’ve been and where I’m headed.

Renlo Recruitment

From rigid to responsive

This project involved taking an inherited Divi theme for a recruitment agency and giving it the transformation it sorely needed as it looked fine on desktop, but completely fell apart on mobile. My goal was to not only make it responsive but to ensure the site was usable and visually appealing across all devices.

I restructured the layout with mobile-first best practices, cleaned up inconsistencies, and rebuilt pages to ensure a seamless experience, no matter the screen size.

Highlights
Transformed a static, desktop-only layout into a fully responsive site.

Enhanced usability and visual consistency across devices.

Optimized design elements to ensure smooth functionality on mobile.

Why It Matters
This project was about more than just fixing a layout, it was about creating a site that works well for both the business and its users. Through close collaboration with the business and a focus on responsiveness and user experience, I transformed the site into a modern, future-ready platform.

Deliciously Ella Homepage Clone

A Milestone in My Learning Journey

This project was one of those big “aha!” moments. As an early challenge during my learning journey, I set out to recreate the homepage of Deliciously Ella, drawn in by its clean aesthetic, gentle branding, and thoughtful layout. It was the first time I pushed myself beyond tutorials and into the realm of “Can I build that on my own?” Spoiler alert: I could. And I did!

Recreating this site really deepened my understanding of Flexbox and CSS Grid, two layout tools that had felt a little abstract before. After plenty of experimentation (and a few lightbulb moments), I began to truly understand the power and flexibility of both Flexbox and CSS Grid and how each could be used to solve different layout challenges with clarity and control.

Highlights
Unlocked Flexbox and Grid confidence, using them to build complex sections with ease.

Boosted my confidence by turning admiration into creation.

Why It Matters
This project marked a turning point when I realised I was no longer just following along, but actually building. It gave me a huge confidence boost and reminded me why I love front-end development: bringing beautiful designs to life, piece by piece.

Omnifood Project

Where It All Began

The Omnifood Project was my very first deep dive into the world of web development, built during a hands-on Udemy course that sparked my love for coding back in 2023. It’s a landing page for a fictional healthy meal subscription service, and while it’s not a “real” product, it represents something very real: the start of my journey.

This was the project where I learned the building blocks: writing my first lines of HTML and CSS, experimenting with responsive design, and starting to understand how code can bring an idea to life on screen. Every section, button, and image taught me something new, and I still look back at this one with a lot of appreciation.

Highlights
Fully responsive layout designed from the ground up.

Clean, modern UI with an emphasis on usability and structure.

My first experience working with semantic HTML, reusable CSS classes, and layout techniques like Flexbox and Grid.

Why It Matters
Omnifood might be the first project I built, but it laid the foundation for everything that’s followed. It taught me how to think like a developer, how to break down a design into components, and most importantly: that I love this work.
